When you think of the NFL, chances are you don’t think of Mexicans. If you look closely you might spot one or two Latinos kicking field goals during a game, but I think it’s safe to say we are underdogs in the sport. But you know what? We like it that way, it’s what pushes us to work harder, train longer, and be more resilient than the rest. It’s what pushes us to dream bigger, like Rolando Cantu who against all odds became the first Mexican-born, non-kicker to appear in a NFL game when he played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2005. This is his story.
